Classic Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato & Basil Sauce

A classic favourite using the freshest ingredients.


  • 500g Pasta Vera Spaghetti
  • 6 tomatoes – chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic – sliced
  • 1/4 fresh chilli (chopped)
  • Fresh basil, shredded/torn
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil in a large pan, add garlic and chilli cook for a minute.
  2. Add tomato and let sauce simmer.
  3. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente.
  4. Drain, reserving some of the cooking water.
  5. Add the pasta to the sauce stir well and cook over medium-high heat and season, tear up basil and add to sauce.

Note : If the sauce is over-reduced, use the pasta cooking liquid to adjust

Serve: A splash of olive oil + extra basil.
